I came back today at 2 am, slept 5 hours before to go back to work and had thought originally to not write any article before this week-end…but you know what? I just can’t wait to share my trip with you. This little week under the sun has completely recharge my batteries and I feel so energized, thank you vitamin D!
Morocco and I, it is a long story started ten years ago when I first went to Essaouira, on the coast, for a 1 month internship as a volunteer in a NGO. I then went back in 2013 and stayed with a friend of mine in Marrakech (gosh the article seems so old…:))…and I am just back from a 1 week trip in Fez with a wonderful tan (can I please show off a little bit?) and unforgettable memories. So there is so much I want to tell you about the places I have been, the food I have eaten, the beautiful colors of the silk scarfs in the souk, the kindness of the people, the incredible hospitality of the inhabitants…
Fez is the second largest city of Morocco with a population of 1,1 million inhabitants. It was actually the capital of the country until 1925 and is listed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. I had never been to this part of the country and could not say no to a little wander one of the oldest Medina in the world!
Between my trips to the surroundings of the city, the meals taken at the local shops, the discovery made during the way, I hope to give you the idea, the curiosity to (who knows) maybe go there check it all by yourself?
But for now, it is time for me to tell you “Good Night!” my friends!
